 EAGLE SCOUTS OF TROOP 18

Our Troop 18 Wall Of Fame is dedicated to all the young men of Troop 18 who traveled down the Eagle Scout trail. Scouts who endured the journey and reached their destination. May you forever have the wind at your back, and blue skies ahead on all your future journies, and hope that you never reach your final destination.....

 EAGLE SCOUTS

The fact that a boy is an Eagle Scout has always carried a special significance not only in Scouting, but also as he enters higher education, business or industry, and community service. The award is a performance-based achievement in which standards have been well-maintained over the years. Not every boy who joins a Boy Scout troop earns the Eagle Scout rank; only about 5 percent of all Boy Scouts do so. The aims of Scouting-citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness-remain important for all Scouts, weather or not they attain the Eagle Scout rank.

  • Total Eagles awarded in 2012: 57,976.
  • Total Eagles awarded since 1911: 2,209,000.
  • Around 5 percent of all Boy Scouts earned the Eagle Scout rank in 2011.
  • In 2011, the average age of boys earning the Eagle Scout rank was 17 years of age.
